The distinctive Maison Marineta, in the seaside resort of Denia, opened its doors for the first time in June 2022. Overlooking the town’s bustling marina and just a short stroll from the historic centre offers a stylish stay in a beach town with more focus on holiday home rentals than boutique hotels.
Overlooking the marina
This hotel has a great location, just from the water, with views over Denia’s marina to the open sea beyond. A short stroll will bring you to the picturesque old town, and Punta de Raset beach is less than a kilometre away. Here you’ll find plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby to enjoy and there is a coastal walking route that will take you south all the way to Punta Negra.
Comfort and class
The distinguishing art deco facade of the boutique Maison Marineta Hotel reflects a bygone era combined with modern influences. The theme has been continued inside, with bold golden artwork adorning the walls of the lobby, zigzag patterned sofas and geometric-styled staircases.
The Maison Marineta rooms have more subtle neutral tones with plush furnishings and unique coastal-inspired artwork. Marble, enamel titles, and shiny, lacquered stainless-steel balconies, all crafted by local creatives, offer a sophisticated finish.
Almost every facet of this hotel has a local touch, with lovely hand-made features, including the bronze sculptures that animate the hotel’s exteriors.
Head up to the rooftop and find a giant Jacuzzi with sweeping views of Denia’s Marina. The adjoining sunny terrace provides the perfect sun-splashed spot to share a chilled bottle of wine while watching bobbing boats sail to and from the harbour.
Head to the hotel’s tour desk for expert advice and recommendations on exciting activities and attractions in Denia. Whether that’s exploring local landmarks, enjoying water sports, or discovering the vibrant culinary scene. You can also enjoy breakfast or drinks at the hotel’s Honesty Bar.
The 18 rooms at Maison Marineta fill two floors, connected by balconied hallways and all featuring air-conditioning and sound-proof windows for a peaceful night’s sleep.
The rooms are tastefully decorated with modern furnishings with neutral tones and have pretty feature walls and just a splash of gold as a nod to the 30s theme. Each room has an ensuite bathroom, ample wardrobe space, a flat-screen TV, and a safety deposit box. Some rooms also offer wrought iron balconies with sea vistas.
You can opt for a 15 m² superior double room, a 19 m² deluxe double room for a more spacious stay, or a 31 m² Junior Suite with sea views for that extra spot of luxury. If you’re travelling with family or friends, choose an ample 34 m² family room with a large double bed and comfortable sofa bed.
Tucked away on the third floor, you’ll find the hotel’s Honesty Bar, serving up a delicious continental breakfast daily for guests. Enjoy fresh pastries and fruit, a selection of cereals, traditional Iberico ham and the typical tortilla de patata, served with tea, coffee and freshly squeezed juices.
Step outside the hotel to find bustling cafés nestled under leafy canopies and numerous restaurants to ensure you don’t go hungry during your stay in Denia. Just a five-minute walk away, you’ll find the enchanting Els Magazinos food market, with over 20 food stops for a unique al fresco-style dining experience.
If you want to taste traditional tapas, try Tasca Eulalia, a two-minute walk away. Take a stroll to the town’s majestic marina to seek the serene sunset, where you’ll also find many bars and restaurants to have a drink, lunch, or dinner.
